Qualifying Criteria

We only select pitches that meet the following strict criteria

Between 18 and 35 years old.
2.

Citizenship

South African citizen.
3.

Education

At least a Matric qualification.

4.

Location

Township-based.

5.

Ownership

100% South African owned.

6.

Compliance

Registered with CIPC and SARS (or prepared to register).

7.

Commitment

Prepared to participate in pre- and post-funding business development support and mentorship.

8.

Viability

The pitch idea must be commercially viable, sustainable, and feasible.

  • Activities already funded by other private or public bodies.
  • Applicants with a record of fraud or corruption
  • Businesses involving gambling, pyramid schemes, loan sharking, or illegal activities.
  • Applicants who are un-rehabilitated insolvents.
